IT Specialist - Network Admin
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist – Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance the company's network and telecommunications infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations while supporting business needs and global collaboration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level desktop support including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT issues
- Maintain and support network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and PABX telephone systems
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal system availability and throughput
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and other network devices
- Perform structured cabling installation and repairs across facilities
- Implement and enforce company network security policies and standards
- Coordinate with service providers and vendors for network-related concerns and support
- Support and implement network and telephony infrastructure projects
- Maintain inventory, logs, and performance records of IT equipment
- Prepare and submit reports on network performance, project status, and system usage
- Ensure timely, within-budget, and quality completion of assigned IT projects
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and global counterparts on IT and infrastructure projects
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any IT-related field, or equivalent experience
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in network systems management in a TCP/IP environment
- Experience supporting organizations with at least 100 users, preferably in a manufacturing setup
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PABX system administration
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in managing voice and data network infrastructure independently
- Knowledge of network systems, telecommunications equipment, and IT operations
- Experience with Mitel PABX systems and video conferencing tools is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results under pressure
