Job Description:

Knowles Electronics Philippines is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development, new product introduction, and manufacturing improvements in a high-volume production environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the introduction of new and redesigned products, including feasibility studies to improve product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and standardize manufacturing procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce overall costs
  • Provide technical support through process analysis, documentation, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive process and product design improvements, including equipment enhancements and product transfers
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies in process optimization and improvement activities
  • Improve process capability (Cpk) and manufacturing efficiency while meeting quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets
  • Propose and implement new processes, equipment, and mechanization solutions
  • Work with subcontractors in developing and implementing manufacturing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful product transfer from development to mass production
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to support manufacturing innovation
  • Support global initiatives, including overseas travel for product transfers and technical support

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or Physics

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Product Engineer, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge in advanced manufacturing engineering and assembly processes
  • Solid background in process documentation and design requirements
  • Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC), DOE, and data-driven analysis
  • Experience in training engineers, technicians, and production personnel
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and quality systems
  • Experience in capital cost justification and payback analysis
  • Familiarity with tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects
